The dog in "Lady and the Tramp" is not a Beagle. Lady is a Cocker Spaniel, and Tramp is a mutt.
Beagles are usually very good with kids but I wouldn't expect ANY dog to be good with BABIES without a lot of training, and even then not enough to leave the two unsupervised.
I don't know what movie you are watching but there are NO beagles in lady and the Tramp. Lady is a Cocker Spaniel, Tramp is a Terrier Mix, Jock is a Scottish Terrier and Trusty is a Blood Hound.
If Beagles are raised with children then they will be good with them as long as their are trained properly to be around children, but thinking a dog in a cartoon will be like that in real life is unrealistic
That depends on how you raise them. And by the way, she's a Cocker Spaniel, not a Beagle!
My friend has a Beagle who's terrible with kids (was not used to be around them) where as my Beagle is GREAT with kids (as he has had experience being around them.) It all depends on how YOU raise them.

Plus, it's common sense to supervise your dog if he/she is in the same room as the kid.

I think the "lady in the tramp" dog is a cocker spaniel.
And it depends on the temperament of the animal, as well as the breed.
Yes. Beagles are very friendly and affectionate dogs. And make great family pets around small children. Of course the older any type of dog is when introduced to children the harder they will be to socialize.

You should check out the personality traits of different breeds of dogs if you're thinking of buying one. I believe Beagles in general are sometimes okay with babies but not like in the movie haha.
Beagles are exellent with children!:)
