My dog is pregnant and has a discharge will she have her puppies soon answer quickly please?
Okay i have asked a lot of questions now but anyways, she has a discharge and had been moaning and peeing A LOT and all she wants to do is lay down, she has a whelping box with a electric blanket and water here are my questions
*will she have her puppies soon?
*is there anything she still needs in her box?
Thank you guys so much for walking me through this. this is my first time....
answer: Yes, be ready. He water probably broke. But it might be a false alarm, she might have them tomorrow, but she will probably have them tonight. Keep an eye on her, and don't comfort her unless shhe wants it. She might to rest a bit, but check on her like every 3 minutes.

Hope your dog is okay! :)
With every dog, it's different as to how long until they have their puppies, and the length of time between each comes out. right now all you can do is sit back and encourage her, let her know your there for her. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com
I've found it best to place the box or "nest" into a room where there is very little traffic, where mom and babies will have some peace.
just have fresh water for her to drink, and puppy chow for her to eat as it will help with her milk production, and give her the extra nutriton she needs. Also, have a fresh towel ready in case you need to help dry any of the pups, and keep your vet's number handy in case of an emergency. good luck and congrats!
all female canines loose a mucus plug before they whelp. if the whelping box is in a heavily traveled area you need to place it an a quit semi dark area that no one other than yourself will be. canines can and do stop labor if there is allot of traffic while they are whelping. if she has or is loosing the mucus plug then she should start whelping within the next 24 hours. take care with the electric blanket use it only if the house is cold. the wetness that comes with birth could be a hazard when it comes to the electric blanket. hope this helps

1. Maybe. i'd put the coffee pot on and have no plans on going to bed unless you have another adult in your home to watch in shifts and cancel tomorrow's plans

2. Remove the heating pad. If she does deliver tonight all she needs is old newspaper. NO old towels sheets unless you want smothered/strangled pups
And if you don't have it already I suggest you spend the remainder of your short time online looking up signs of whelping complications AND the number to your emergency vet.
Direct all further questions to the pros.
if she seems in distress and making noises uve neever heard her made before, or biting things or scratching thats a sign.
also it seems like you havent been keeping track of her temperature but your suppose to keep a log of her temperature 2 a day and it is usually steady but right before the pups come the temperature drops thats a sign.
i just hope you dont enjoy what your about to watch. i think its very painful for them and its not fair so please spay your dogs and make sure every single puppy finds a good home where he will be neutered vaccinated and taken care of responsibly and if you cannot do this just give them to a shelter where they will be. which i highly doubt you will do because you sound like a BYB. just watch her and if she has too much trouble having a puppy run her to a vet.

How about calling your vet ? Do you even know the signs if she needs an emergency spay?
You should never have bred without researching, especially intentionally breeding mutts.
How sad that breeding was not important enough for you to do research to ensure that everything goes well.
Well, Tara, as we tell everyone who posts stuff like this, you've had MONTHS to research. MONTHS to figure this out. MONTHS to contact a veterinarian. MONTHS to contact a responsible breeder and ask for help.
Now your b*tch's life is at risk - she could possibly die due to your ignorance - and you're asking internet strangers to somehow help you??
I just shake my head at your lack of empathy.
Google "dog whelping" - that will give you TONS of info, such as
