I am taking my dog shopping wit me tomorow. She is small, a yorkie. So if i hold her or put her in a bag what places besides one with food isnt she allowed to go to. Is she allowed in clothing stores such as forever21?

i bring my dog shopping with me all the time ... i have a bag to slip her into when going into stores ... different stores will have different rules ... i have never heard of forever21 but old navy allows dogs as long as their feet do not touch the floor ... homesense, another store that allows small dogs to ride in the shopping cart ... my dog is 11 years old and i have never been asked to leave a store ... bonus of having a small dog :O) ... all those people saying leave her at home are just jealous that little dogs get to go more places than their big dogs :O)

If you want to buy her a jacket, go to a PET STORE. They sell plenty of them and dogs are allowed. If the store doesn't allow pets, doesn't matter if you have them in a bag or not. No pets means NO PETS. You'd probably have to get in touch with the manager, etc... I'm pretty sure stores like Forever 21 have a no dogs policy unless they're a service dog. Sorry, but I'm tired of people thinking it's okay to take their little dogs EVERYWHERE, just because it's not walking around. I know damn well if I took my American Bulldog/Boxer mix into a store, even if he were in a bag or whatever, people would complain. Sounds like a double standard to me, and I'm tired of it. Leave the dog at home, or go to a PET STORE where they have plenty of jackets. Period.

A dog is a dog and if dogs are not allowed, it doesn't matter if you carry the dog or have it walking. Just becasue you have the dog in a bag doesn't make it OK. Someone with a 100 pound dog can't fit it in a purse and can't take it to the mall and neither should you. Leave your dog at home, it is not a fashion accessory.

Yea small dogs are allowed almost anywhere ive seen people bringing them grocery shopping even in most cases the retailer doesn't mind the dog because usually you're there to buy somthing so he won't kick out a paying customer

I have NOTHING against animals...it doesnt mean that I need to see or smell YOUR animal while I'm out shopping/eating and socializing. I have enough decency to keep MY dog at home....and not bring him out to the mall and other places. You ARE aware that there are people who are highly allergic to dogs? or plain ol' dont LIKE dogs? Why should you intrude on their experience...leave your dog AT HOME
