How does someone become an animal behavioralist or dog trainer?
Do you go to a school for it?

The best is to apprentice with a long time trainer. Expose yourself to as may trainers and breeds as possible, but "old school" will get the most out of you. HOPE you have "natural ability". If after a year or so, you still suck at training dogs ... but have learned all the "lingo" that goes with it ... you call yourself a "behaviorist".
Paying to learn a method is pointless. It has nothing to do with your ability to train a dog.
Hey, computer five, I'm gonna be a dog trainer, too!
Where I live, there's a dog behavior college that I may attend. There's also tons of other dog training colleges that you could try. It's also possible that you don't HAVE to attend a school for it, but I am, just so I have the papers to prove it. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com
