Though my dog does 'smile' sometimes ... but it's not because she's happy, it's simply because she is panting.
They laugh phsically, wagging their tails, shaking their bodies, and getting a bit hyper.
Some people consider that their dogs are smiling when they come home and their dog's mouth opens to reveal all of their teeth with their flubbery tongue sitcking out.
