A teacup maltese, a morkie (yorkie maltese), or a maltipoo?

No Designer mutts for me thanks
Teacup dogs do not exist, they are just bred to be a smaller size. Maltese are cute, but they are vicious little dogs. I used to have one and had to give it away because it was so horrible. They also have a bad reputation but are good as guard dogs. I now have the sweetest little Yorkie, so if I had too choose I would choose a Morkie. I just don't really like poodles that much.
How about none of the above! Two are mutts bred by unethical breeders, given a cute name and sold to suckers. As for the other ... there is no such thing as a "teacup" dog. Teacup is a term used by unethical breeders to describe dogs bred to be extremely small with no regard to health or breed standard. What you have mentioned are not practices that responsible, reputable breeders do.
I would suggest that before you actively try to acquire ANY dog, of any breed, you take the time to do a little research on the breeds and educate yourself on shady breeding practices. Otherwise, you will join the ranks of Suckers who bought dogs from shady breeders.
@ Liz: I highly doubt someone on here would say they hate mutts, it's that the intentional breeding of more mutts while millions perish in shelters annually is ludicrous. No reputable breeder would produce mutts, only backyard breeders or puppy mills would do so and neither of the latter parties have any interest in the well being of their pups. They only care about the well being of their wallets. I have a mutt and LOVE mutts (having fostered dozens), but I get them from shelters (and the vast majority of them were less than a day away from being put down due to lack of space).

@ the original poster: A few points. a) There is no breed known as a "teacup" Maltese. There is only one size and all animals bred by reputable breeders will be within kennel club guidelines. Those selling "teacup" dogs are only breeding runts to runts, which will result in an unstable dog, be it temperament or health-wise. b) "Morkies" and "Maltipoos" are "designer dogs," which are only bred by puppy mills and backyard breeders, outlined above.
If you want a mixed breed dog, please see petfinder.com or visit your local shelter. Also worth noting, 25% of all shelter dogs are purebreds. Please check that route out before looking at others. If you must have a dog from a breeder, please go to your national kennel club website (AKC or UKC) and see their list of endorsed breeders.
You could find a nice little crossbreed in any shelter or even specific breed rescue but if you would rather buy from breeder with a bit more history on the dog you choose make sure it is a genuinely caring breeder. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com
By this I mean a breeder who really cares about the pups they are breeding & you can see the parents living in a normal home environment & can show you vet papers plus they will want to do all the relevant checks on you too.
Unfortunately purebreed breeders will have you believe that all crossbreed breeders are bad but that is not true there are good & bad in both & its up to you to check them out before parting with your money. Even some KC registered breeders & Crufts members have been exposed for bad practices so its buyer beware, papers are not everything.
Please please check out the rescue first though, there are so many lovely dogs looking for a second chance. Dont be put off by one persons bad experience of a breed or cross, check out dog books about the characteristics & traits of different breeds for some idea of what to expect.
Good luck
Please try to avoid any breeder claiming to have "teacups" they are sick runts labeled as teacup by the breeder in order to catch your attention & make more money.

As for what breed or mutt you should go with that will depend on doing your homework & finding out which best suits your lifestyle.
no such thing as a tea cup any breed, they are runts and often have cardiac and ortho problems, if you do find one you must never use the dog for breeding, it's not the dogs fault it was born and probably bred by a greedy breeder but these genetic messes cannot be used for breeding, spay and neuter any 'teacup' if you just insist on having one and you manage to find one many tea cups are also very high strung and skitterish due to their genetic makeup which is very poor and some also never really are housebroken as they can't make the connection
a mutt is a good and worthy dog but mutts happen when irresponsible owners don't spay and neuter and dogs get out and it's an accident and there are plenty of great mutts, but mutts need to be spayed or neutered and never used for breeding.
intentional breeding of designer mutts is just plain bad for the breed overall, the individual dogs and lines the pockets of greedy breeders
pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com mutts should always be free or no more than 50 bucks if puppy shots and worming was done
