Is it just me, or are my neighbors mean?
I walk my dog all around my neighborhood. First, I walk him around my house a couple times, hoping he will do his business. Then we walk. Sometimes, sh*t happens, but I always pick up after him. So this morning, I had already taken him out and he pooped in my yard. (I even pick it up immediately if he goes in our yard.) He wanted to go out again later to walk. I took him across the street, and he was just sniffing around at the corner. So this b*tch stands at her door and says, "You know we have a pickup law?" I said "Yes, he is not doing his business, we are just walking." She said, "You know we have a pickup law. Oh, well I saw. Do you have plastic bags?" WTF! So I pulled out my bags and showed her, said, "Yes, I am aware of that, but he did not do his business." And brought him home. And cried. This is not the first time someone in this neighborhood has done this to me, either. I did nothing wrong. This is a little "nicer" neighborhood than where we previously lived, so I think maybe this is why the neighbors are so rude. I am seriously considering moving to our old neighborhood. I miss the junkies knocking on our door in the middle of the night because they got the wrong house. At least they were nice. Any thoughts? Stop walking my dog? Move? What should I do?
answer:
Well, besides moving to a house that is in the middle of a good 15 acres, love thy neighbor. I say that because I am in a similar situation except they don't say anything, they just watch from their doors or their yards to see if I am picking up. I lived on 15 acres and everyone was free to do as they please. How I miss it. Just try to take your dog in an area that there are less houses. You could also walk your dog at a time when its dark and noone is watching. Still pick it up though.
nah, that lady was just rude. maybe next time he potties you can bring the bag over and say "our garbage can is full, but i wanted to follow the pick up law. can i put this in your trash bin?"

ok, i'm kidding.

ignore the rudeness. just as long as you're picking up after your dog, you're fine, and she's just crazy.
keep doing what you're doing because you are doing the right thing. as long as you pick up after him then everything will be fine. dont let your neighbors run you out of the neighborhood if they ***** let them *****. your dog is just doing whats natural.
No. Just sounds like someone else isn't picking up after their dog. You did the right thing showing them the bags. Don't take it so personally. And some people don't have anything better to do than B*tch at others.
i know how you feel. with the breed of dogs i own they all hate me lol. even though my two dogs are spayed and neutered and well trained. you cant fix stupid so tell them to go to hell. at least you are picking up after your dogs mess. they need to get over it.
there pee stinks and kills bushes and grass also. no one wants to smell someone Else's dog pee or there bush killed cause some dog pees on it
Forget those aholes. they just have nothing better else to do then complain.as long as you are doin everything right by picking up his messes then. walk with your head held high!

Also note we don't yet have fencing ( saving money for that) she walk into my yard and said did you know theirs a leash law? I told her did you know theirs a no trespassing law you dumb-****? She was giving me guff about how rude I was, and I just told her "did you know I already know this? It took me a long time to earn the title ******. lolz Then she began screaming at me and Duke my boy dog who never growls at other people or bite's people , Started growling at her and gave her a warning nip on her shoe.

She was so surprised at him she threatened to take my dogs away. I reminded her, her dog is always loose in the neighbor hood. And I have every right to call animal control to remove a potentially dangerous dog. She turned beat red and stormed off my property and Duke made his last little growl and a snooty snort and followed me in the house. Since them it has been 7 months and she left us a lone.
