Is it dangerous to put on a flea collar on my dog along with flea drops?
answer: It might be, and flea collars can certainly be dangerous all by themselves. They don't work, anyway. Save your money and spend it on the best quality flea drops from the vet.
No but it is pointless.
Flea collars do nothing other than maybe deter fleas from jumping on the part of the neck that the collar sits on..
The drops, if they are a reputable brand like AdvantageMulti or Revolution will be enough to kill the adults, larvae and eggs so the collar is again pointless.
YES! It is not a good idea to use both products at once!! Read the package it should tell you not to!! Flea collars are very dangerous & don't work very well at all!! You want to use Frontline or Advantix/Advantage. Drops you buy in drug stores, like Hartz are no good either! My sister used Hartz brand on her Doxie, and he damn near died!!

Flea collars are a waste of money, take it off cause you never know what is in it and in what dose. Use the drops only.
