Why?

Both are great dogs. Between the two, the american bulldog is more predisposed to skin issues and boxers are more predisposed to heart conditions (boxer cardiomyopathy, which is an arrhythmia) and cancer. Either way, if you are purchasing through a breeder, ask for papers and be sure you get to meet the parents of the dog if at all possible. There are so many irresponsible breeders out there.

In a day's work, I've seen owners of mastiffs with bilateral entropion (eyelid rolls inward and rubs the cornea, usually inherited) refuse to spay/neuter the pet, numerous owners of pitbulls with demodex (also genetic) intent on breeding, and owners of little dogs with patellar luxations with their heart set on seeing their dogs have "cute little babies." Just a heads-up about what kind of breeders are out there and what kinds of priorities they can have.

I went back and fourth between a Boxer and a Bullmastiff. Picked the Bullmastiff! You have to look at the two breeds and choose what about them you will get from them. If you're ok with a hyper dog then get the Boxer, if not get the bulldog.

American Pit Bull Terrier!!! But between the two, I'd say American Bulldog for looks, Boxer for fun.

Boxer. I just think it is a very good looking dog and I like their personality.
