My dog ate some pennies what should i do?
doctor
Cash it in
Wait for him/her to poop them out.
Rush the dog to the veterinarian ASAP!!! Pennies contain substantial amounts of zinc, and they are POISON. The dog needs them surgically removed NOW.
Take your dog to the vet asap!
Your dog will just poop them out.

Pennies do contain zinc but it's in a coating of copper.. Dog's stomach acids are strong but not THAT strong LOL
it should be fine...most ppl over react. If your very worried give your dog some milk or oatmeal and the pennies will pass though your dogs system just fine.

my dog eats underwear, breaks into fridge and eats anything, eats towels, sponges. ALL of it has passed but their stomache is a little upset so some yummy dairy products will make them extra happy and help pass the object.
do you know how much pennies did he ate.
You should probably go to the vet if your dog doesn't poop them out by tomorrow.
TAKE TO VETS OFFICE NOW
take the dog to a vet. this can cause bowel obstruction.

worked at a vet clinic.
Get your animal to the veterinarian as soon as possible. Pennies are very toxic due to the government making them with 97.5 percent zinc. Zinc is very toxic and can kill your dog. I recently lost a 2 year old shitzu because she ate a penny. Not only did we create a very big bill trying to save her for 6 days, but she died in the end. I hope you have better outcome than we did with our dog!!
