My dog, Tyson, came up to me panting. I figured that this is normal, as he is overweight. But then I noticed that he has red eyes. But I guess he could just be tired. But now he keeps whimpering and trying to get peoples attention. Now, this is normal for him. He begs for attention all the time. But, I just want to make sure that he is okay. Could there be anything wrong with him?

Well it is a problem that he is overweight.. you need to get him healthy. Overweight dogs cause numerous health problems.

With the other symptoms, I would call a vet.

If you believe he is ill, take him to the veterinarian.

If this is your dog's normal behavior, he might be fine. You can check his nose and make sure that it is cold and moist. If your dog has a hot and dry nose, then he is not feeling well and you should keep an eye on him. If after a night of sleep, your dog wakes up with his eyes red, take him to your vet. There is probably an underlying condition that needs to be investigated soon. Good luck
