I had a hamster 3 years ago. She lived for about a year and few months then she died):
My hamster right now is really sick. She's not opening her eyes and she's breathing too heavy way too fast. I got her in December 2008 when she was just a baby, so that's almost two years. It's like I'm reliving the death of my first hamster, I love them both very much. She doesn't have much time left, maybe make it for another few minutes or hopefully another hour.
Is there any way to get through this?
Ryan believe ti or not it is called tears, it is the best way to cleanse the pain from your heart, it is a very grown up thing to do not a sissy thing trust me . I can promise you in time when you think of your hamster you will only think of the love you have for them, the good times you had with them, the times they made you giggle and put a smile on your face, this i can promise you as i have been there and now when i think of my Sally i do not think of the horrid night she passed, i think of the fun times we had together, the giggles, the joy.
Is there any possibility to take her to the vet? If not, you can always think of all the happy times you've had with her, and all of the good things you've done. I'm sure she wouldn't have a better owner then you , you did your best and that's all that matters! Its going to be hard at first, but just think, no more pain, i'm sure you did great, you were a great hamster owner!
Just think to yourself, you gave her a good home. You did the best you could for her and she's grateful to you for that.

It's always hard losing a pet. Just stay with her and feel glad that you made her happy.:)
Also, maybe you could take her to a vet and she could be put to sleep?
