i went to the petstore and got a BIG bag of aspen
i didnt seethis before, but when i got into my car, it said KILN DRIED HARDWOOD bedding
but on teh top it said ASPEN SHAVINGS!
this bedding is for my two guineapigs!
im not really sure what to do now!
should i use it???

Aspen, unlike pine or cedar, is not dangerous. You can use it. If you are afraid of the oils you can mix it with Carefresh which helps with the smell and the absorbency too. Besides, when pine or cedar has been kiln-dried it is safe.
Definitely not. Even kiln-dried aspen has the potential to release harmful oils that will damage your guinea pig's respiratory tract. Do not risk it.
