so i came home from school and my mom said my hamster died of corse i started crying they lived 3 years i got them on my 14 bday now im 16. i am a [animal lover and i all ways take it hard when my pets die of old age.

Most dwarf hamster can live for around 3 years, with Chinese hamsters even living a little longer. People always underestimate the longevity of dwarf hamsters, but in general they live longer than syrians.
Some live longer lives, some live shorter lives than others though. It's impossible to predict how long they will live, you just have to enjoy every moment you have with them.
Most dwarf hamsters live on average 1 and a half to 2 and a half years, with the average being 2 years.
Syrian hamsters live for roughly 2 to 2 and a half years. I'd say if he's 3 he's had a good life.
I'm with you on the animal lover part and taking it hard, i know what its like. When i lose an animal, i always have bad luck and lose another within the month after of the first one.
