What are some cute stories/descriptions of your rats?

My rat Harvey is the sweetest little man around. He is such a cuddle player, and looooves ze treats. He sleeps a lot now that he is getting old, less playtime for me: (But hes still very funny. Hes bigger then both of my fists and he is litter trained. he is also trained not to run away as i have no cage door on his cage perposely because he is less anxious with it off. I guess he just feels better knowing he isnt trapped or FORCEFULLY being kept in his little bachelor pad.

One funny storey: I had Harvey at the park with my dog named Diva. Harvey was running around with my little jack russel. My step mom lets go of her leash so she can run around with it dragging behind her. Diva finally comes to a rest, the leash is sprawled out behind her, including the giant plastic handle peace at the end.

Harvey came waddeling up to Diva and rests his cute little body across the leash. Of course Diva notices a squirrel and BOLTS toward it. Poor harvey just sat there looking at her .. the leash underneath him sliding quickly out of underneath him like a convayor bealt when BAMM! The handle hits my poor rat and sends him flipping through the air. Of course he lands on his feet but rolls across the grass because of landing impact. he finaly comes to a rest on his back and his chubby little belly prevents him from getting back up. He just kicked his feet. I run to his aid and suprisingly he was fine and acted as if it never happened. How sad but cute. hes a champ and took it like a boss! pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

any stories about your rat?
I realized once after a full day that I had forgotten to refill my rats' water bottle after I cleaned the cage. I of course freaked out and began administering an electrolyte solution. I couldn't find a dropper so I gave it to them in a bottle cap. Sabella has had a water bowl before so she immediately started lapping it up. But Ruth was raised since birth on a bottle so the concept of standing water was foreign to her. She smelled it, identified something tasty and impulsively grabbed at the water like it was any other treat. I wish i had a picture of the look of surprise in her face when she realized there was nothing in her paws. It was exactly like this: " WTF? ". My amusement turned into admiration though when his happened-unable to grasp the concept of pooled liquid but needing to become hydrated, my little Ruth innovated. She" picked up "pawfuls of electrolyte water one by one and licked it out of her little hands until every drop was gone. I'm sure she's smarter than me.
