My new hamster has tried to chew out of his metal cage? New

I just got my hamster on Tuesday. Today he came up to the cage when i went towards it. Everything was fine until he started freaking out and climbing up the sides of his cage and biting it trying to get out. He has been pretty chilled out until just now when he decided to go crazy. What might have changed his behaviour? Another thing, I am afraid of wet tail and his poop is a really light brown almost yellow, but not runny like diarrhea. Its not wet tail right? ? Thanks everyone!
This is normal behaviour if I am honest, nearly all hamsters who have cages with metal bars i have ever had/met, will chew the bars on the cage without fail, my gerbil does it, too. He didn't go crazy he might just be a bit bored or he just wants to do it.

If you bought hamster food that is different to the food he was on where you got him, this is the reason for his poo, sudden change in diet is bad, you cant change back now and then slowly introduce it, otherwise this is even worse , keep feeding it the one you have.

But it could be a signal to the beginning of diarrhoea so keep an eye on him just in case he gets diarrhoea.

I hope he's okay.
I used to breed hamsters. They all chew on the metal cages. It can be because they are bored or some of them like the feel of the bars an their gums.
My hamster is the same i guess ours prefer to chew on metal then wood
