I was thinking of adopting one of these hamsters that this lady has ... Since she doesn't want them anymore. Well here is the story.
She has 3 hamsters for adoption. The female has her own, 10 gallon tank and then the two males have a tank with EACH OTHER 10 gallons and I know that two syrian hamsters can't live together. Anyways ... How do I tell her i want to adopt ONE of the male hamsters WITH the cage and everything else, but not the other one. She says she HAS to keep them together ... How do I tell her that two syrian hamsters will kill each other NICELY .. . Since I don't really know her !!!!!!! HELP!
I really would want her cage ... I don't want to have to go out and buy a cage but I don't know.
So i understand You're worried about the hamsters killing each other, and I have 2 points to make,
First, tell her just like you told us, "I'd like to buy the cage and ONE male hamster." She can say no, or she can say yes. Then if you want her to know that they re likely to kill each other, say "Two male syrian hamsters will eventually hurt and kill each other if kept in the same cage, that's why I only want 1."

Second, it sounds like she's been keeping them in the cage together, and, they're both still alive. So I'm thinking it may not be as drastic as you think. But best of luck.
Im glad you took my previous advice seriously,
why not get the female? female hamsters can sometimes have alot more personality than the males, but the only thing you could really do is tell her that she's housing them wrong upfront
(But by taking the female you would be preventing the breeder from breeding more and putting more hamsters through stress because she clearly knows nothing about syrian hamsters)
and if all else fails you could try get the hamster at a different source eg. petshop (ebay have some good inexpensive cages/tanks)
