How to safely catch and get rid of disease in mice?

My mom thinks we have a mouse in the house and was thinking of getting a mouse trap .... I want to try catching the mouse without killing it and if it has disease remove it then find better

home/environment for it: \
You can get traps which catch it in a box and you put bedding and food in there and this special liquid that attracts them to drink it, leave it in the room you've saw it in , and in the morning pick it up and place it in a big cardboard box and open it. If its in there, take it a few miles away, about 2 miles away, then set it free near a field or something.

These traps are said to be humane because it kills it in like 2 seconds so it don't feel pain, but disposing of it wouldn't be too treat. Its a lkng thing you put the liquid they like in the end, they go to get it and it basically rips their head of, yes that sounds horrible, and i'm a big animal lover but i wouldn; t like to have a wild animal in my house with my other large amount of pets in here too. Although like you'd i'd much rather have the box where you can set it free and perhaps let it bothjer someone else, haha. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

It wont pass on a disease to you unless you touch it and like lick your fingers, try and make sure it don't come in contact with another animal if you have one, or make sure if its a dog its had its boosters and if its a small animal in a cage then keep it high up, if you have a cat then it should have injections against diseases too but they roam the streets anyway.

I hope I helped.
Just don't get a glue trap - they are very, very cruel.

You can get a humane trap - they sell them at Petsmart. You just put the food in and it traps the mouse. You can then dispose of the mouse outside. It will find a new place to live. As far as the disease part - unless it acts sick after you trap it - it's more than likely perfectly healthy and can be let outside.
