i have two hamsters and already am loosing interest in them, during the day they sleep, at night time they wake up really late, by that time i am already in bed sleeping, when fall comes they sleep lots
You can make them diurnal (awake during the day) by playing with and handling them during the day so that they will sleep at night. The more you do this the more they will adapt to your lifestyle. Then you can play with them more often. You can build things for them like jungle gyms with treats and things that they have to find, they like tunnels so you can buy them tunnels or use paper towel rolls, as long as they still fit in them it'll be fine. Wheels, little cars, balls are all at pet shops that you can buy for them. I think people with hamsters like to build up their enclosures for the hamsters to play in, and I think they just enjoy watching them do their thing. Give them treats and watch them eat . etc.
Organise a day out at a theme park perhaps, then wake them up when you do. They will be delighted to know what you've planned for them!
