my Chinese dwarf hamster look like hes lonely some times im there a lot watching him in his cage at night and during the morning when im not in school i only have one in there because hes small and my mom wont let me get another is he lonely .
I would venture to say yes. If he is inactive it could be a sign of no companionship. I would recommend holding him a lot more often then you usually do. Wouldn't you be lonely if you were in a confined space and watched everybody go by you with nobody to talk to? I'm sure he feels the same way. Hope this helps=)
we need another person to talk to, right? it's our greatest pleasure to have someone with us . same with the animals, they are created with partners and sometimes they are in groups to keep them safe and alive. like hamsters, they are in colonies and they enjoy others' companionship. if it's left out, it needs a partner to play with even just one. if it gets lonely enough, it will eventually die.
It's hard to tell. They do like to borrow during the day which explains its inactivity.
This particular type of hamster i find to be very nasty with humans but love companions! I would go and get another, bring a seperate cage home incase they don't get along to.
