I thought and thought and thought on what to name my little guy ... as soon as I saw him, I knew his name was Myrddin. I couldn't go in to pick him, so my husband took one of the socks I wore to bed, because I get very cold feet, and he snuggled into it, and has bonded completely to me. Don't pick one based on colour. Pick one based on how it reacts to you. I got a rat based on her colouring and she hated me. Loved my partner, but hated me. She didn't choose me though, and the pet chooses the owner. Keep that in mind.
When you see him, or maybe even her, you'll know exactly what name to give them. It'll just click. In the meantime, look on the web at some baby name sites. Personally, I love the name Adara. Never had any pets that fit that name though: (
Russel, Monty, Pig, Phillip, Gnar, Meat, Sweater, the possibilities are endless! Why don't you get him first, then, once you learn his personality, a perfect name will work. We had a baby female guinea pig named Burrito. She fit it just right.
