I have OCD, severe anxiety, depression, and insomnia. It's a good day when I can relax for even five minutes. I am ALWAYS keyed up. It's like I don't know how to have fun. It's horrible.
I had a gerbil about a year ago. We had to get rid of him because I moved back in with my parents and had no where to keep him. She was my little buddy. I talked to her all the time and played with her when I was stressed out. It was kind of like therapy because I literally have no one but my boyfriend to talk to and he doesn't understand a lot, or most, of what I'm going through.
I was at a pet store the other day and I was thinking that my gerbil, Pip (from the movie Enchanted lol) never really warmed up to me because that's just how gerbils are. I was thinking about getting a guinea pig or two. They have so much more personality and they will warm up to you and be your best friends. I think that would be great for me right now. I just want to be 100% sure before I do it because my mom is going to freak. But before all you moms say I shouldn't, I now have my own room that my dad built for me in my garage. It would be perfect because my mom would NEVER have to see them. By the way I know this sounds like a little kid, but I'm 20 years old lol

Guinea pigs are very wonderful pets. Please, please adopt.:) You can tell you mom animals are shown to reduce stress levels while holding them and petting them. Also, holding them once a day is fine but dark leafy greens need to be provided twice a day and hay, pellets, and water should be available at all times to them. hope this helps!:)
i think you should because it can calm you down and i think you need to get your mom to realize that by having a guinea pig it will make you happier and calmer
I would get one or so, as animals are proven to reduce blood pressure and stress. So please try to talk to your mom about that, then she will probably warm up to the idea.
well i think its a good idea for u to get one i used to have to have 2 guinea pigs and i loved them i would play with them every day if i where you and give them something to do when u where not playing with them r home and i would get 2 so they have Company and get a kinda big cage for them so if they need Peace they have it i had a 3 story cage for mine hope this helps
