Hey guys. Four weeks ago, I got a female dwarf hamster from Petco. I just now noticed that she has been itching around her ear often. I just wanted to know if there is anything wrong with her. Do I need to take her to a vet? Do I need to buy a special pet care product? Is there anything really wrong with her? Thanks guys. Bye
Nope, it's actually just grooming. My hamster does that so much, but yeah that's all it is, nothing to worry about. Hamsters naturally spend lots of time grooming, that's why you don't need to give them baths.

Same here when i got my hamster he was scratching ALLOT.
But, i found out it was just the bedding because they haven't gotten use to it.
Or if the cage is to dirty.
She probably has a slight dermatitis. If she is constantly itching none stop then u shud take her to the vet because it could lead to blisters. And that would suck for your hammy.
