One of my chinchillas is VERY skinny, you can feel his bones and he weighs only 350g do I need to take him to the vet, I don't want him to die please help
If he was a year old, ideally you 'd want him to weigh over 500g - Chinchillas younger than 3 years old should gain steadily each month, at least a few grams. Its a good idea to weigh them regularly, making a note of any changes in diet, or any additional stress that might be going (such as introductions) so you can track if they are losing weight and there is a problem. A happy healthy chinchilla will have: eyes bright and shiny, be eating well and have a dry chin, be alert with have normal stools .
I've found some examples of a healthy weight for a chinchilla around that age here

If you can feel his bones, I would be concerned. It would help if we could be in contact so I can ask you some questions and get more background on him, to help you know what is going on .
It could be his diet, he could have a parasite, or something else could be going on. Some chinchillas are small, but you shouldn't be able to feel their bones if they are healthy.
If his poops appear abnormal in any way, it may be a parasite and that would require a vet visit.
