My pet rat was recently diagnosed with an ear infection, and only a day ago it looked good and like it was clearing up. There was less blood in his ear, and it didnt smell anymore, and he wasnt walking off balance. Today I wake up and he has a mass on his face right below the ear, and there is a lot more blood in his ear again. It smells awful, what can I do? I plan to take him to the vet soon, but will he be okay ?
Throw it out and get a new one. It's just a rat.
Awwww: (it's nasty when ratties get ear infections. Sounds like the infection is getting worse. The vet is probably the only person who can carefully look at your rat and tell you what is happening to his little ear. Unfortunately, as you will know, rats get easily sick and often don't recover: (

sounds like his ear infection got worse. Take him to the vet maybe the meds you were giving him didn't agree with him.
