I would like to have a pair of hamsters actually, but Syrians don't offer that. But I read that they are more interactive than Dwarf hamsters. What do you think is best to have?
Syrian hamster! I have one and hes the greatest little thing! he is so so suit and cute, He has never bit me! Dwarf hamsters do tent to bite alot which can be a pain. Also it is better to get one of something if you have the time to spend with it as they will become more attached to you and if a dwarf hamster died, im not sure how the other would take it as it could die of loneliness but whatever you do i hope everything is ok and you make a good decision:) Good Luck !
I would go with Dwarf hamsters. I have one and he loves to interact with my Chinchilla its cool to watch.:)

They are a bit bigger but have massive charachters.
you cab interact with them much easier
