Styrofoam is not biodegradable. It's very dangerous to leave it around any animal as they can not digest it.
They may chew it but it's not bio-degradable so I can't imagine it's okay to eat it!

they can chew through it but it's really bad for them and they will probably get sick or die. If it did congest styrafoam then i suggest you take it to the vet emediatly?
