I found a rat with tiny babies?

Behind a large dresser in my house. I don't want to hurt them, but I do want to get them outside. If I put the babies in a basket on the patio and flush the mom out of the house will she find them and move them? HELP!!
Don't know where you live and if it is getting cold there, but it is October and Mommy rat has chosen the nice warm corner of your room for a reason. Moving her outside is going to be very shocking, no food source, no heat, predators and elements.

Wear gloves for your protection. Wrap the babies in paper towel and newspaper and place into an old shoe box. Into the shoe box place some cut up vegetables and cereals as the will act as nutrition and fluid for the first day or so. Attempt to trap the mother (GLOVED!) using a live trap or cornering her. Once caught seal her in the box by taping the lid shut. Take the box to a location that is safe and has water nearby; a pond, stream or ditch. Place the box in the a secluded area nestled deep into the grass and pile earth, leaves, grass, whatever ... on top. Mommy rat can easily chew her way out when she decided to, but at least confining her for that short period of time will ensure she knows where the babies are and has food available to start a new life outside.
Don't touch the babies then they lose their scent. I guess get some gloves and gently very gently put them in a basket and dump them gently outside.
gloves. yeah. gloves. get sum sentless gloves and put the babys out side and grab the momma and put her next to them.
