Why isn't my new guinea pig making noises?
I just got my guinea pig today she is about five to six months old and she of course is scared of me but she isn't making any noises. 1) how can I make her not so shy 2) why isn't she making any noises
Guinea pigs make noises when they're scared or happy. Because you got it today it won't be happy because its new. When I got my guinea pig it started making noises after a few weeks. It usually makes noises when you give it a treat like an apple slice or carrot or when you put it in your lap and stroke it (I'd wait before doing that because its so new). So just wait for it to get used to its new home.

Enjoy her not making any noises (just kidding). She's probably just not comfortable yet. I wouldn't worry about it. Give her a while and she'll more than likely be very vocal! You can help with her shyness by holding her, petting her, and playing with her. Now is also a great time to get her used to being held so she will be calmer over time while out of her cage.

2) They're very shy animals.
And does your piggy have a cage buddy? If it doesn't have a buddy, it could become depressed and some even starve themselves to death if they're lonely. Cavies become depressed very easily.
