just found out today that she has an ugly lump on her side,the vet said she could develop a tumor,i think she did. please help! it just started today and she acts mentally retarded

Her acting mentally retarded is completely irrelevant to a tumor on her side. The tumor sounds like a mammary tumor, but acting mentally retarded is a serious problem. She could have a brain tumor, ear infection, or other neurological disorder and you should take her to the vet right away.

If it's an "ugly lump" on her side, then it's not that she COULD develop a tumor, it's that she already HAS. Also, could you please clarify what you mean by her behaving "mentally retarded?" What sort of behavior is she exhibiting? Is this new behavior, or has she always acted that way? Some rats, like humans, are more intelligent than others. I've had ones who know their names and half a dozen tricks at the drop of a hat, and others who couldn't find their way out of an open paper bag. ok how is she acting mentally retarded ? im sorry but if shes getting a tumor theres not much u can do sadly, take her to the vet and see if she can have sugery done to remove it
