i bring my guinea pigs out several times a day while i do my homework and put them on a towel on the ground. (yes, i am watching them, i even talk to them when they are on the ground, my bed is on the ground) i was wondering if they can drink out of a bowl of water so when i bring them out for longer periods of time so they have water and dont get really thirsty?
they are still babies (like a little too big to fit in my palm size) and only drink out of water bottles.

Guinea pigs cannot drink out of a water bowl it has to be a water bottle.

They can drink out of a bowl but water bottle is much easier for them When drinking out of a bowl they tend to put their front feet on the bowl and dump it over. Because they run around so they are forever dumbing it and making a mess. Try tying the water bottle to the outside of your cage with a piece of wire when they are out, That is what I do. Good Luck
