My dad is very stubborn and whenever I try to ask him he just says 'we dont need anymore pets' I have already said I will pay for it and all the supplies. Help?

i wouldnt recommend a hamster at all. i had one when i was a kid,and it was HELL.

they never stfu... they're always making noise when you try to sleep. and stuff.. and they stink/hard to take care of

look into something else lol.

How many pets are in your house already? Tell him it will teach you responsibility since you will be the one paying for it and its supplies and you will be the one caring for it so you will learn from it.

Also be proactive make drawings/paintings of hamsters and put them around the house you have to be persistence with this as he will give in eventually.
Put a hamster background on his laptop/pc, buy a few teddy hamsters put them in various locations around the house. Make research on hamsters and how nice they can be on the internet make a booklet for your dad to read. With this add feedback from hamster fanatics about why they love them so much.
Also to add to this be extra nice compliment your dad at every occasion and make him breakfast, buy a paper for him, have it ready (although it will be hard), over exaggerate this so there is a hint always.. but if he asks 'Are you just doing this because you want a hamster?' reply im doing this because 'your such a lovely person'.

tell your dad that if you can't have the hamster you'll run away with his wife(not the hamsters).

seriously---do you really want a hamster? not a dog..a cat....be sure you want a hamster..think it over seriously..then if you really want the hamster...catch dad right after dinner some night--just say "dad can i talk to you about something?and begin to talk to him about the hamster and why you want it.don't get all upset or hyper...remain calm...if he brings up problems relating to the past,like other pets that you might not have taken care of so well,then try to convince him that you'll be responsible for the hamster.

before talking to your father,go online and get alot of info about what it means to own a hamster--what they eat..how to dress their cage inside..as much info as possible.your dad will see the fact that you've actually gone to the responsibility to find all of this stuff out ahead of time.this is a plus for you.

so here's the plan.


1.go online get as much info as possible about owning a hamster-google something..like " what you need to know,owning a hamster as a pet."

write down as much info as u can.

2.after dinner some night,talk to your dad again and show him all that you've written down about owning a hamster.assure your dad that you'll take special care of it.
