Wild Baby Mouse as a Pet?

Wild Baby Mouse as a Pet?
my family recently caught a baby mouse in our trash can, a bigger one was killed earlier this week, which i assume would be the mother. but i don't want to kill it, its no bigger than my thumb. i was wondering if i could keep it in a cage and feed it and get a wheel and stuff, just no touching cause it may have disease. would this be a good idea? i could let it go when its older...
I guess you could keep it but letting it go when its older would just kill it. It would be used to being fed by humans and would eventually die of starvation. Look up ways to care for it because it probably needs milk from its mother....
if u keep it, it might not no how to be a wild mouse ( like finding food and stuff) so u should just let it go now or keep it in the cage but never touch it
google it you'll probably find alot of info

I think it is old enough to take care of itself, even if it is small, so you should let it go. And like you said, it could have a disease, and trying not to touch it wouldn't make you safe, if you were keeping it as a pet you would be at risk. It was born in the wild, and caging it now would just be cruel, and it would be alone. You wouldn't be able to play with it, and it could give disease to other mice so you couldn't get it a friend, it would have a horrible life if you kept it. Please let it go and if you want a pet mouse, get one that was specifically bred for that purpose.
