Squeaking Baby Guinea Pig?
I just got a Guinea Pig and it's really young. When ever i hold and pet him he sqeeks like crazy, but the weird thing is that he doesn't struggle to get out of my grasp or anything. And when i put him down, he squeaks even louder. Any help people?
answer:
He loves you holding him! My guinea pig is 8 months old and he still squeaks alot when I hold him. He squeaks more because you put him down. He really loves you!!!

I have a young guinea pig
Make sure he has a hut ( igloo) they like there privacy. Give him lettuce and he will get closer to you and of course guinea pig pellets and timothy hay witch they need for protein and good health. Clean his cage daily guinea pigs are clean animals so return the favour. I have owned a guinea pig for 7 years and he is as healthy as he was when he was a baby so good luck and dont worry about the whistleing they do, Its when they are hungry. bye for now.
Guinea pigs make a lot of noises. Squeaking can mean unhappy especially if it's like a squealing noise. If it's more like a clucking that means she's happy. They don't like loud noises so that could be freaking her out. But other than that she's probably just getting used to you. Hold her a lot and talk to her and cuddle her. They like that.
Guinea pigs are vocal creatures. Over time you will notice all of its noises. It is normal.
