How to tame my Hamster??!?
Ok so my two mice recently died so today i went and got two robo dwarf hamsters that are the cutest things in the world. So just now we put them in their two cages that i had from my mice and they haven't gone up the tubes. Are they to small? Also how often should i hold them? So far, Hammy the fast one isn't that friendly. She hasn't bitten me but she runs away. Our other (Unnamed) hamster is very calm and she is nice when i hold her but she does sometimes too run away. Also what would be a good girls name for the calm hamster?

Thanks in advanced!
They'll figure it out. They are in a new place, so they're scared and trying to adjust to the new place. Eventually, they'll be frolicking in the tubes with no problem, just give them time.
As far as holding them, really it depends on the animal. I mean, I had rats. Two of them could sit on my shoulders all day, but the third one would only want to be held for a half hour at a time. If your hamsters don't want to be held, they'll run away. I recommend letting them adjust before you try to hold them too much.

You could name her Chomik (hamster in polish), and call her Cho for short. :)
When you first get hamsters, they are going to be a little skittish, especially tiny little Robo's. Imagine if a giant was trying to scoop you up off the ground! But you can teach your hamster that you're a friendly giant by first off, giving them their space as they adjust to their cage. Once your hamsters get used to their cage, you can hand-feed them treats to gain their trust. My hamsters love being hand-fed oatmeal, and it is a great source of fiber! Once they are taking food from you, try placing a few flakes of oatmeal in your hand and see if they'll crawl on to your palm to eat. Just keep taking baby steps until your hammies allow you to scoop them up! But you've got to be really careful, if you drop a Robo from anything over like 25cm, they can break bones, which is not good. So when you do pick them up, be very careful and don't hold them over great heights! I bet your tubes will be fine, just let them get used to their cage. pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com
Sorry but the only name I can think of right now is Mika, for some reason. Just look at baby names, that's all I did to name mine(Violet and Velma)!
You know you can keep them together, right?

Dwarf hamsters are the only hamsters that happily live with others and stay social. They actually prefer living in groups!
