well i'm only 13 and so idk about this kind of stuff but i all ready have one hamster its a teddy bear hamster is it ok if i get another hamster the same kind and put if in the same cage as my other one all i know is that i need to get the same gender but idk if hamsters like to be around other hamsters help!

Well if they're friendly then yes. If not, then no.

teddy bear hamster are really syrian hamsters. Most hamsters are solitary i say most because some dwarf breeds with time can live together. i say NO NO NO NO NO

NO!! Dont do this, I used to have like 40 hamsters!! lol. All i know is that when you have had a hamster for a long time in his own domain and you bring another one in they will fight! You would want to get a seperate cage and set it beside the other hamster so they can see eachother, that way they can smell eachother scents and get to know eachother a lil without touching eachother physically.

Then once you feel comfortable and they feel comfortable get them both out a let them roam around together and see how they handle that, if you keep doing this and letting them have play times (watch them of course) then they might become friends! and then maybe you can put them together.
However this is just my experience with hamsters im not sure if the female gender will fight but i know for a fact male and male will and male and female will fight and multiply like crazy!!
I dont have hamsters anymore, but seriously i used to have like 20 cages cuz they kept multiplying lol.

Just ask the petstore about questions you have concering this! Talk to someone who knows about them, not some college or highschool kid.. lol
