would you recommend this cage for rats?

It says it's for mice so I think it would be too small. How many rats have you got? If you have only a couple and take them out to play each day then they might be happy in there, it's better than a one-level wire thing. If you have a few then I'd invest in something bigger . Rats are very intelligent and curious, it's cruel to have them in something too small as they'll get bored and stressed. If you do get it then I'd make the house hole bigger for a start.
It's a nice cage, but their wee will soack into the wood and your room will smell terrible. And they will chew the wood, and eventually escape. It's like a big gnaw block to them: p
I recommend one like this:

Hope I helped:)
i WOULD say no it looks too small for rats. Also probably wont be able to get many toys in it.
And the wood may irritate their noses also its does say for mice.
you can get a better cages for rats and will cost less.
Yea, its a cute cage and more importantly, I think they'll have a lot of fun in it. I think you should get it! It looks pretty easy to clean too!
No, the wood will get soaked in urine and smelly, and there's not enough ventilation ... rats need open wire cages.
no, their wee will soak through the wood and it will end up smelling really bad. i know my old rats cage had wooden shelves. get a cage with plastic shelves.
