guinea pig problems?

i finally asked my parents if i could get a guinea pig but no was there answer any advice please to get them to re think
Tell them

- You cant get over the loss of your previous guinea without getting another one

- Research loads and then tell them how well you'd care for it and impress them with your knowledge

- Save up and say you'll buy some/all of the resources needed or even the guinea pig

good luck xx
thanks 4 choosing me as best anwer xx

All of the above answers are the best way to go for convincing stubborn parents.

I believe one of the most effective ways that isn't mentioned is by doing THOROUGH research on guinea pig ownership and casually explain how loving these adorable little creatures are when you bond with them.

They always say thank you when you feed them and give them treats

When you hold them, they like for you to lean back so they can get up on your chest and snuggle under your neck. Mine does this and goes to sleep a lot

With affection and time, guinea pigs can actually be potty trained!

If treated properly, they may never need a vet visit in their lifetime, which is about 7 - 9 years.

Like loving dogs, they greet you when you walk in the door or if they hear your voice

They can swim!!! Most guinea pigs enjoy the occasional bath, or a little swim in a kiddie pool (only suggested for warmer seasons)

When they talk, their squeaks sound just like mini pigs, but with hair:)

Guinea pigs really enjoy certain fruits and vegetables; tell your parents that you'll be more apt to eat healthier if you can share a snack with your pet, like celery or apple slices or carrots

Go to youtube.com and search popular videos from other guinea pig owners - there's a reason why these precious angelic creatures are so loved and adored by people not just their owners.

Also, if you can help it, its best to get two same-sex guinea pigs so they can keep each other company and become companions.

If not, be sure to spend extra time with your one guinea pig, as they can become depressed and lonely. - Another reason to get one! They do have strong emotions and show them often, contrary to most domesticated animals

Hope this helps!!
A) Keep begging them if they're not the type of parents that will hit you;)

B) Show them you're responsible

C) DO YOUR RESEARCH (know the costs, how to take care of them etc)

D) Do something that would make you're parents think hmmm maybe I should get him/her a guinea pig

That's what I did when the answer to my question: Can I get a dog? Was NO.

now I have 2 of them:)
1. Do all your research

2. PROMISE you will do ALL the work, clean them out etc ...

3. Keep on asking they will get bored soon enough

4. Maybe borrow a friends pet or get a robot to show how responsible you are.

5. Do extra chores to soften them up.

6. (Optional) Tell them you will pay for resources.
