you can make him a house like a doll house. You can try to hide it's food in places so he can go after it and find it. You can make him all kinds of little capes.
Things I use to do with my hamster was to make a homeade obstacle course for them. All you need is towels, shoeboxes, empty toilet paper rolls, and even items out of his cage. Just put items against a wall or somewhere where it cant escape and then let them explore. It is fun to watch them and it gives them good stimulation and exercise. Another thing i use to do was to have my sister and brother sit on the ground and we put our feet together so we made a big playpen. The hamster would follow along your legs and either your siblings or friends each get to play with the hamster when it comes near you. I hope these are helpful!
I have a hamster also, lol i try and find things to do with her too. You can actually build him/her a creative maze. They enjoy it and makes them active. And if you love arts and crafts youll have fun making the maze! Heres a maze i came across before that is the MOST creative on ive seen it actually makes you want to make it.

You can purchase hamster play areas and mazes from pets at home.
Or let them run in aND OUT OF a pair of old jeans like tunnels.
or make a play area out of cardboxes they love run in and out of them.
