They can't take temperature under 56Degrees Fahrenheit or higher than 78Degrees Fahrenheit
If they get too cold then they hibernate
Yes you should put a bit more bedding, but generally as long as you don't have any windows open or drafts blowing around, your hamster wont be affected just because it's winter:)
