I am trying to make a new cage for my guinea pig and need some help figuring out how many cube faces id need and where to find it cheapest

Great cage. C & C cages are definately the way to go. I have a 2-level one similar to this. You can find out where to get all the supplies, the proper dimensions, etcetera etcetera and www.guineapigcages.com (that's where these type of cages originated from.) Good luck!
Walmart.com actually has the best deal, because they have free shipping with the site to store thing. It is $ 24.99 for a box of like 16 or 17 and that is enough for a 2x6 or smaller C & C cage.
http://www.guineapigcages.com/. You can use extra cubes to make a pen to take them out to eat grass in, only in the warm months though, and in the evening, around sunset. You will also need coroplast for the box part, which is at really EVERY sign store. Just google for sign shops in your zip code.

Then you can expand or make a playpen, or just have extras for the future. They are great to have.
"Cage squares" on ebay got mine from there.
