Hi guys.
I have putted some papers on the cage floor but my hamster (he) is ripping them off and he is kind of enjoying doing that!
But I'm wondering what is he doing exactly? And is it dangerous to him?
Yesterday I putted a whole pack of yellow paper sheet

just to see what he do with it and he wakes and ripp it then do some of his things then sleep and so on.
So any clue? Is he chewing on them?
Hamsters love to tear paper up and build nests with it. I would recommend that you use paper that has minimal dye and inks in it. It should not be harmful to him if it lacks all the dyes and inks.
He is making himself a comfy bed and also its fun for them.
Isnt dangerous at all its just in his instincts to do this.
My rats do the same thing all the time.:)
No they don't. They store it in their house to sleep with. REMEMBER! Don't give them paper with ink in it !!!!!!! !!! That's how my first hamster died: (
yes its safe as long as their is no 'not pet friendly' paper. Or has ink on

they make nests out of it:)
Probably not he just wants some bedding if you think it's going to hurt him then get him some shavings that's what I have for my hamster.
