I bought my daughter a hamster at a pet store and it ended up having babies. Well its been 10 days sense they where born i was wondering when i could finally clean her cage? And when do the babies eyes open? Thanks!!
There eyes will open at around 14 days old. Once eyes are open it is safe to handle them and remove them and mom for cage cleaning.

Ok well my friend has had 3 litters of baby hamster and has told me everything!!! So here ya go!
-DO NOT TOUCH THEM !!!!! If you touch them the mom might abondon them!!!! Or eat them ....
- Dont freak out if she eats 1 or 2 as long as long as its been around a week you should be fine
- When they are ____ you should genderize them and get a different cage and seperate them. To genderize you must grand their sides softly and hold and flip them over. If it's a girl they will have 2 dots close toghter and a boy will have 2 dots father apart.
-You my change the bedding and touch them around a week in a half from birth.

Once their eyes open and they stop nurceing and are 3 and a half weeks old you can gice them away. But I stongly reccomend you don't give them to petco .... sorry but they dont take very good care of them there and they dont soacalize them ....
