I have wanted guinea pigs for a really long time now. I could name anything about them. My dad says i can get one. I told him guinea pigs are happier and they live longer when theyr r 2. He says thats fine, but my bro gets one. theyl b in my room, il take care of them (i told my bro he wasnt going to b cuz im afraid hel give them something poisoness or something like that) and stuff like that. I know my brother will get tired of it soon enough, but im still really worried that we will argue.
nobody likes to share. good news is that guinea pigs do very well with pairs! so when your bro does get tired of it, you are still in good hands. not only that but if you are the main care giver, its your job to make sure they are in good health. i doubt he would feed just ONE pigs something, so again, its your responsibility. guinea pigs live around 3-5 years, need LOTS of space and eaat way more food than you think is possible, need lots of attention, need daily veggies and an extra vitamin c sourse. but u said you already did the research so no need to preach! haha. but with all things considered, its best to have two anyways, your bro will eventualy get bored yet will ALWAYS intervene just like my parents did who hated mine haha. but just ask him nicely to check with you if things are alright. or even make a deal with him about what conserns you.: D good luck!

If you want to buy it things, ask your brother first
Tell him also that you will be cleaning the cage (If that's what you want to do, because you said you'll take care of it)
If he's arguing with you then just tell him that you are taking care of him all the time and he lets you do it.
If he does say something just reply fine take care of them yourself or they will die. He will probally scream no ... But make sure his guinea's DONT die!
Tell him one is his (let him hold it or give him a carrott to feed it) & he'll THINK it's his, but they will be yours ( :
