how to potty train a guinea pig?

Guinea pigs can be trained to use a litter tray or toilet tray.

The best way to start doing this is by putting a tray in the cage and put some of the urine and poop inside the tray so the guinea pig will start to associate the tray with the toilet/toilet smell.

With time your guinea pig will learn where to do its business and makes cleaning out their cage a little more easier for you especially if its a larger cage.

Another tip is:

If you are handling your guinea pig and it has a wee on you try and learn the signs of what he/she does before the accident happens. I have learnt with my guinea pigs over the past 10 years that they start to wiggle round a bit more if they are sat on you. A good tip at this point is to put your guinea pig before it wees on you in the toilet tray again allowing the piggy to associate that, that is for doing its business in ...

The younger the pig the better, and always repeat what you are doing.

I hope this helps you and your guinea pigs.
Guinea Pigs can be trained to use a litter tray like a cat, best off starting young, and move the litter tray to whichever corner they tend to urinate in, you might have to do it a few times until they realise what its for, best to line the litter tray with the same stuff thier cages are covered in (shavings etc).
Mine are trained not to 'pee/poop' on my floors. But how to do this yourself. You buy one of ebay or somewhere and maybe put a treat high up. When they poop get gloves and put it in their litter tray. They will realize they should poop and pee in their and start (remember to put the litter box in the corner they tend to pee/poo in!) pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Hope this helps
