i just got my hamster 2 dyas ago. He seems perfectly fine and heatlhy. He seemed very friendy yesterday but today he slept all day and just woke up to eat and groom himself. When i tried to wake him up, and let him come on my hand as uausal, he just conintued to groom himself. Then he pooped. He poop usauly looks like black seeds but today he had thick poop i am very worried. He has plenty of wood and water and i pet him every day WHAT SHOULD I DO???? IS there something wrong with him since his poop is brown and kind of thick?
His poop could be different from stress and change in diet. As long as he is not having diarrhea I wouldn't worry too much. Just give him time to settle into is new home and rest, and make sure he has a good quality diet.

Don't freak out he's fine . Probably something didn't digest as well as it was supposed to and his poop got a little thicker. He'll be fine. Don't bug him too much and don't leave him alone too much either. It's going to be okay.:) Hope that helps.
