He is more difficult to wake up from a nap
He sleeps Almost 24/7 if I'm not around (I abrupt his sleep to play with him)
And he is starting to sleep in a hamster house in his cage that he never ever slept in before which shocked me. He usually sleeps in his hut from his tubes

You should only wake him in the late evening, if at all. Hamsters are nocturnal, and can be up til all hours at night. If you-are-waking him up , then it should be at the same time every day. Waking him at different times will upset his sleeping, and could make him unwell.
That said, 1.5 years is a good age for a hamster. He will be getting old, and as a result he's going to sleep longer.
Try to be careful with him, keep an eye on his diet, and generally try to keep things as routine as possible for him.
My hamster lived to be about 5 years old and even then I had to put her down because of a tumor. let your hammy sleep, dont harass him so much, and feed him good food that has real seeds and such not just the processed pellets. give him a little fresh fruit or vegis once a day and he should be good.

as hammies get older you dont want to handle them too much just let them crawl around pet them etc. If he is going to die theres not much you can do but let him die in peace.

not that this is very usefull but your hamster has had a full life. If he dies then you can make a nice little memorial for him and after a bit, you can get a new one. Nothing can replace a lost pet but you can change it. Hope your hammie has as much time as he can before he goes. Who knows, mabey he'll break the record for the oldest hamster to have ever lived.
i would take away the choco flavored drops ... he could be getting sick from them. my hamster lived to be 3 and we gave him none of the grocery store treats because of the toxins in them. it might be a good idea to get ride of the chew toys for awhile aswell.

Is he awake at night time hampers are nocturnal so they won't be awake at all during the day unless to drink or eat, Does he have a wheel if he has nothing to do then he will sleep and die from a fat end heart or if he doesn't get enough exercise if You want him to live Flay with him make him run do something he needs exercise go by him toys!
Yes he will die very soon, it is unavoidable. Be nice to him, sing him a lulabye.

he could be depressed. maybe he needs a playmate in the form of another hamster
