Does a mouse show affection toward people?
Just like any animal, they all differ ... mice might be still and just enjoy being in your presence or they might like to be petted. Some might just run away like a rascal! they probably wont lick you like a doy or wag its tail but like guinea pigs or bunnies they may nibble you, not bite but just nibble to become more acquainted with you like a dog would sniff your hand. guinea pigs might make low chirping noises or grunts almost a small purr, so im sure a mouse would have something along those lines. usually the more quiet and calm, the more relaxed your pet is.
They genitally nibble and lick you, it shouldn't hurt, but don 't pull away because they see this as you denying them.
Our more affectionate mice would jump into my hand & run up my arm, or do that adorable nibble-grooming thing.
