out of these small animals which ones bite more: ferrets, mi

Ferrets but they dont mean to bite hard most of the time they are like kittens they dont know that they're hurting you and they have to be trained out of it. Once they figure it out they will bite softer during play. (Also I am just assuming you know ferrets arnt rodents)

Rats that havent been socialized with people will bite (about the same as unsocialized mice and hamsters)

Gerbils I dont really know as I've never seen one. They are illegal in california since the Governator believes they will be the downfall of the human race then he will have to travel back in time and convince a kid he's the key to our future when in reality he is just trying to kill the kids evil Gerbil ...
Only rats that are pregnant or otherwise hormonal or have been abused will bite. I have 12 rats and have had more in the past and None of them have ever bit me or anyone else.

Hamsters are in my opinion the most likely of all of those to bite, especially if you wake them up when they were sound asleep during the day. (I had 14 hamsters as a kid) pets question and answers,www.5d2d.com

Ferrets, especially young ones can be nippy but generally are not aggressive biters, especially past 1 year old.

I have never known a mouse or gerbil to bite but I have only had 6 mice and 3 gerbils before.
Ferrets, who aren't rodents, will nip when young or unless they are not trained. Ferrets have VERY tough skin compared to us so what is a playful bite to a buddy can be a painful experience to a human. Through training and lots of time and love they will grow out of this. Deaf ferrets are more apt to bite because they get scared but they too can be worked with. My friend is a ferret rehabilitator who takes in the very worst abuse cases. She has yet to come across a ferret that wasn't able to be trained not to nip, and she has helped dozens and dozens of ferrets. Properly trained, a ferret would bite the least out of the above. Four of my guys are absolute sweet hearts (All 4 were adopted) and don't bite, while my baby does nibble some. He's learning though and is getting better every day.
I know when I had a hamster or rat they wouldn't bite to often but when they did it hurt like hell! I have a ferret now and she bites alot but it is always play biting and she has never hurt me. I'm not too sure about mice and gerbils, I would think they would fall in the same line as the rats and hamsters. Not too often but very painful
Hamsters bite the most.

Gerbils are typically very calm and not aggressive. They will not bite unless they feel threatened (like if you grab them). Some baby gerbils will nip but once they figure out what your hands are they will stop
Just to say ive had 8 rats and only 1 bit me. It wasnt his fault. Ive been bitten by loads of hamsters, not sure about gerbils or ferrets.
Hamsters and Ferrets. Mice are ok, but Rats and Gerbils are good with it!
