I just got two winter dwarf hamsters, both female and they go into this little area and I heard squealing. I don't know if they are fighting or if they are playing around. Should I interrupt them when this noise is happening? I don 't know if they are killing eachother or if alright.
It is possible that they could be fighting, but I read somewhere that some winter whites do randomly make high-pitched squeaks. What you are hearing is not uncommon, but just to be safe I would check your hamsters to see if there are any bite marks or anything!
Hope this helps:)
bet ya they where fighting. Kinda like how you really shouldn't put 2 + female/male beata fish together. The'll start fighting. So i think you should get them seperate cages, if you have room. I don't know what you would do if you didn't have room for 2 cages. you should have room for 1 more cage though so ... ya hope ya find out what went wrong w/your hamsters.
There are probably just fighting. Same with me, I got 2 hamsters, they started fighting. They will get over it withing the next 5 hours, They are just not use to each other. They think that the cage that they're in is their territory and nobody should be in it. Don't worry, they just don; t like each other right now.:)
Hamsters usually don't like cage mates. I don't know why but its a fact. I suggest you put them in separate cages ..
there just playing dont worry for I to have a dwart hamster
i would interrupt them, find out to make sure, but probably not fighting, they make lots of noise anyway
just wait and see what they do. and if they start fight then separate then.
my chinese hamsters do this all the time and you should always separate them because they could die
